L3M behavioural scientist, nudge theory expert and behaviour change guru.
By: Ivo Vlaev
Ivo brings his considerable expertise in the field of behaviour science to L3M, helping us to create our behavioural change engine and understand the best ways to encourage people to change their habits. His work concentrates on combining principles from psychology, economics and neuroscience with techniques such as brain imaging and quantitative modelling to create new theories of behaviour change.
Currently Professor of Behavioural Science at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick, he is a graduate of the University of Oxford, where he received his PhD in experimental psychology. Ivo has gone on to work with many of the UK’s biggest public and private sector organisations, from NHS England and HMRC to Tesco and McDonald’s. As co-author of the UK Cabinet Office’s Mindspace report, he was instrumental in using nudge theory to help design more effective government policies. And his work on behavioural economics was cited in the Nobel Prize committee’s decision to award the 2017 prize for economics to Richard Thaler.
“L3M’s revolutionary technology and state-of-the-art behavioural science allows us to truly personalise, physiologically as well as psychologically, our support and treatments.”
